It'...So thankful this story had a good ending! It's disappointing to miss out on picture perfect plans (snow while baking at Christmas!!!) but it sounds like in the end you still had fun with them. It is so hard when our parents age. I spent three weeks with my father in Florida in July, he is 87 and had to have a pacemaker put in. Just relax.
