Stitching in the ditch is so easy and I have to make myself not do that, but use some creative pattern instead. I had bible study this morning, then a lunch with all the gals and even some stitching time. An almost perfect day!
Have a great evening my friend.
Hugs,
NoreenNanaNor'shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03608980502430055753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5433230603334501738.post-29961363589882350032015-10-27T14:47:58.805-05:002015-10-27T14:47:58.805-05:00Love your quilty progress.. in the ditch quilting ...Love your quilty progress.. in the ditch quilting I like to preplan so my seams are away from where I plan to stitch.. but that doesn't always happen! lol
I love the vid of your T winning that heat... thanks for sharing..
I do not like standard time or anything to do with it! lol I will be happy when dst returns :)
Have a blessed eve! That is how my Mom taught me to quilt decades ago (when I wasn't really interested in learning). You stick to the non-seam allowance side, even if that shifts back and forth down a seam line. The stitches should be hugging the ditch so well that it isn't really noticed that you are moving from side to side.Janet O.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05083607398709252597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5433230603334501738.post-88023618302230382452015-10-27T09:08:32.497-05:002015-10-27T09:08:32.497-05:00It's always difficult to stitch near the ditch...It's always difficult to stitch near the ditch even with pressing seams to one side it always ends up that one of those seams will be pressed opposite of the side you want to quilt. When I hand-stitched, I always pressed my seam allowances to one side and then I stitched on the other side if I wanted to stitch in/near the ditch.
