Spring is just a big tease

Ah, what a delightful glimpse we had of Spring on Tuesday when the high was near 80 ... alas it was just a glimpse because the temperatures are going to be dropping on Wednesday ... with lows in the low 30s by the end of the week.  :-o

I'm not the only one who's ready for spring. The trees are budding out, and some spring flowers are blooming.

Which only fuels our desire to see Spring arrive ... and stay.

Last week, I had my last chemo infusion until after my surgery. It felt a little strange not to head over to Siteman Tuesday morning ... so DH and I "celebrated" by having breakfast with three couples from our subdivision.

The Ts are gearing up for their YMCA area championships this weekend.  I can't wait to see them swim.  T#4 has finally decided that it's time for her to get serious about swimming and finally swam the length of the pool (the requirement to join the summer swim team). So this summer I'll get to see all 4 swim!

I hope that whatever you have planned for today includes a little something that brings you joy ... have a great day!
Kathy

  2. We had lots of rain last week and honestly I was LOVING it...this week we are heating back up. Supposed to be the eighties all week! My azaleas are still blooming, and they are gorgeous. Hope all the T's do well in their coming meet. Have a GOOD rest of your week..HUGS

  3. it must be fun to cheer on the T's at their meets and see spring come into bloom - I knew the 80+ temperatures of yesterday wouldn't last LOL - but does it have to drop this much!

  4. Spring is popping up all over the place here in GA., too, Kathy! Love it! We hit the upper 80's here yesterday, in fact...however, I heard that we're supposed to get a morning frost next week. Good thing I haven't planted anything in my gardens yet. Sending hugs to you!

  5. Our weather has been beautiful, but I have learned to resist the temptation to plant anything this early. It wouldn't be unheard of for frost up until the first of May here, but I'm going to enjoy it while it's here. I hope the rest of your week is a good one.

  6. Is there much happier than those little crocus popping their heads in the spring?

A no chemo day was a good break from the routine and well worth celebrating. I'm sure you will be glad to have the surgery behind you.

  10. It's so good to hear how you are doing. Somehow I missed the post before this one.

I think of you often, and pray for you, as well. I'd wondered how you were doing.

I hope spring finds its way to you, soon! I think it has passed us by, this year. The temperatures are in the mid 80's! I hear we're going to have one more cold snap, but the temps are supposed to go right back up, after that.

Take care, and keep us posted.

    Love and prayers,
    Kathy (Reflections)

  12. How wonderful to be able to watch all four of your treasures competing this summer!

This winter has been a strange one all around. But I think Spring is here to stay. For a week or two and then it will be summer! ;)

  15. We're having the same type of weather here and they are predicting snow showers on Sunday. But it's bright and sunny today and in the low 50's. So I'll enjoy it while I can.

So glad you've had your last chemo. Still praying for you.

  17. Spring's too early if the buds all get ruined by the freeze ( our worry in my location ) but how wonderful to hear how well your grands are doing with the swimming! I know that you've had a very rough time but so glad that it can be interspersed with some joy involving your family and grandchildren.
