I think it’s going to be a lazy day here at Chez Nana, and I’m looking forward to it.
I got our Christmas cards out in the mail yesterday. So far we’ve only gotten one card, but perhaps everyone else is running a little behind, too.
Now all that’s left for Christmas is one last gift to wrap and then a few gift cards and such for stockings.
The snow in our forecast has been removed. The temperatures for the rest of the year are supposed to be above normal, so I don’t think it’s very likely that we’ll be getting any snow.
My cold is still lingering on … nothing major but a certainly a pain. Today is the first day in about 4-5 days that I didn’t wake up with a headache. Hopefully that means that I’m on the road to recovery.
We had a nice time at the church Christmas dinner last night … we shared a table with a couple who I’ve wanted to get to know better.
Glad you're recovering. My hubs has come down with something... I'm just spraying Lysol in his face constantly :)ReplyDelete
Yep - its warming up here too... I enjoyed when we got snow flurries the other day... put me in the Christmas spirit
We have a chance of snow next Wednesday. Course that's the day my youngest will be flying to NJ from SC so I'm hoping the forecast fizzles out. It's a cold day here today, but gorgeous blue skies. I love it!ReplyDelete
Feel better soon!
Oh I'd love a lazy day too...but today will be a busy one around here. At least I don't have to go out as it is raining...I do love the sound of it. I haven't wrapped a single gift yet, but only have 1 left to buy so I guess that's pretty good. I am going to try and finish up all my projects today (blanket for my FIL, and two more books for Sam) leaving next week for wrapping I guess. Glad your feeling better! Enjoy your day!ReplyDelete
No snow here yet and I hope we don't get any. ;-)ReplyDelete
Cards out yesterday, same as you! Cookies today. We have NO SNOW in our forecast, short or long term. I am enjoying the preparations this year, sounds like you are too. Merry Christmas!ReplyDelete
Glad you are feeling better - you deserve a lazy day! It sounds like you are really caught up with everything! I have a long list today and am actually accomplishing more than I had hoped! Another week like today and I'll be caught up! ~JeanneReplyDelete
Glad you are feeling better, I have yet to get my Christmas cards done...still sitting on the end table waiting to be addressed...I am sure there are plenty of folks just like me...I got my first card today...guess I need to get busyReplyDelete
Hi my friend, We've had very few cards as well and I'm thinking next year I might not send many out; I guess folks like to keep touch online. I'm still running around like a chicken with her head cut off. I did however manage to get a little skirt & vest made for one of the grands dolls-now I just have some nighties to make. I also have some ornaments to make as well as a little more shopping. I'm pondering whether I should bite the bullet and get hubby a mini IPad-it isn't much more than a kindle and he would love it. Got to pray about it though.ReplyDelete
Have a great evening.
I found a nasal congestion reliever by vicks that did real well for me the past couple of days. I know how you feel! :)ReplyDelete
Glad you feel better. Sorry you aren't getting your snow. I wrapped my last gift tonight...it's a good feeling, isn't it? We had our Sunday School Christmas party Sat night. It was fun...good food and fellowship! Happy that you enjoyed your dinner, too!ReplyDelete
Good for you for almost being done with shopping, wrapping, etc and your cards in the mail! We've gotten three so far, but one was from a business, so I'm only counting two, LOL :)ReplyDelete
Glad you enjoyed the church Christmas dinner; always good to get to know someone who attends there a bit better!
I hope you enjoyed your relaxing day. I wish I were as ready for Christmas as you are! I need to get busy, don't I?ReplyDelete
Sorry that cold is still hanging around. I got my cards out this morning :) Still have to wrap but I have time for that. Sounds like a nice dinner last night. Have a great weekend. DebbyReplyDelete
