Takin’ It Easy Tuesday

Not everything went the way I had planned yesterday.  I got to the restaurant for breakfast and was puzzled when I saw that no one else was there … at which point I thought to check my calendar, only to discover that our breakfast is on the 2nd Monday of the month, not the 1st.  Surprised smile

Since I was already in town, I thought I might as well have my breakfast … at my favorite place for breakfast, Panera.  I called DH and asked if he wanted to join me for breakfast … it was nice to have breakfast with my sweetie before heading to Target (DH headed back home).  I spent an hour and a half at Target and the rest of the morning wrapping all the gifts and putting them under the tree. I am just about finished with my Christmas shopping … I still need to get a gift for T#3 for my dad (he gave me money to buy his gifts for the Ts) and the rest of DD’s gifts.

Just before lunch, we had an unexpected visit from our new neighbor … introducing herself.  She was on her lunch break, so we didn't get to have a nice, long visit, but it was nice to meet her … I look forward to getting to know her better.

I spent a good part of my afternoon reconciling our checking account and filing paperwork. About the time I finished up with my paperwork and was contemplating spending a little time with needle and thread, I hit a wall.  It appears that the cold that I've been fighting for the last week or two has finally hit – with a vengeance.  I stayed home from small group and just took it easy.

Thankfully I have nothing on today’s agenda, so I’m planning on taking it easy … but first I need to go find where I stashed those boxes of Puffs Plus.  Winking smile

  1. A cold hit me last week, but then it was almost gone the next day. Weird. I'm jealous that you've already got most of your shopping done: We haven't even started. At least YS has given us some ideas; we have no idea about the other 2.
Rest & Orange juice! Hope you feel better soon!

  2. It's nice you are all wrapped up and done (except for those few things) BEFORE you got sick. Now you can just rest and get better. I did get a few gifts ordered yesterday, but I am not even half way yet. Ever onward...Hope you feel better soon! HUGS

  4. I'm sorry you're not feeling well. On the plus side, I think you're ahead of most with the shopping and wrapping! At least you're ahead of me : ) I have done some shopping but 0 wrapping. Take Care!

  5. I've never tried Panera for breakfast. We may have to do that soon.

Wish my shopping was almost done. At least we finished the shopping and wrapping and delivered all the gifts for the Giving tree. Everyone at church turned them in on time and hubby and I delivered them this morning. Now I have to get busy and shop for my girls. I have 2 of the nephews finished. The other two are adults now, so I believe a gift card is in order for them.

Hope the cold doesn't get you to bad and that you're feeling better soon.

  6. Kathy, It sounds like you got a lot accomplished yesterday. Best to just kick back today, have lots of warm drinks and relax. Who has time to get sick.
    Lifting you up in prayer.
    Hugs, Noreen
