When DD got home Tuesday morning, she had an excruciating lower back ache ... She drafted me to stay and watch the Ts so she could take a muscle relaxer. Added bonus: taking T#3 to his swim practice and T#4 to her ballet class (or as she calls it her "ballerina class").
I know I'm not objective when it comes to my grands (what grandma is?), but isn't she adorable! (Forgive the poor quality - all I had was my iPhone, and it's obviously not designed to take action shots. Because it couldn't be the photographer, right!)
Yesterday DD was doing better, so I had a full afternoon to do whatever I wanted ... and I wanted to stitch. I tried stitching together some of my hexagons - and I had no flare up! Woooo hooooo! I did take my time and babied my finger, so I wasn't able to get my first block completely pieced, but I'm making progress! I still can't hand quilt yet, but I'm finally able to to get some time with my needle and thread.
I got caught up on blog reading last night - it's amazing how far behind you can get when you don't get online until late in the day. I also watched the game, but I don't want to talk about it. :-(
Hope you all have a fantastic day!
Nana ... aka Kathy
WHOO HOOO on the finger doing better!! yay! I love the way the hexie is looking. The colors are soo pretty! And yes, your little ballerina is just ADORABLE! Time is whipping by. I feel like I am playing catch up all the time...Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable. Take it easy with the finger - we don't want a relapse. Glad you got a little time with the needle... since you did not have a fun time with the game last night. There is always next year.... right?
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable ballerina! So glad the finger is finally doing better! ~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteYour grand daughter is adorable at her " ballerina class." Your hexagons are just fantastic and I love that material. I should post a picture of the Grandmothers Flower garden I have. It is from one of my great, great aunts. It is perfect in its quilting and as is my Lone Star Quilt but they always put hot pink with red and they just make me sick. Weird isn't it? I love the colors you chose. I am so glad your finger is better.
ReplyDeleteI hope your daughter's back is better today. Have a nice day.
She is the cutest ballerina ever! : )
ReplyDeleteGlad your finger is cooperating. Hope that continues for you!
What a beautiful little ballerina!
ReplyDeleteIs that going to be a full sized quilt or wall-hanging. Either way, it's beautiful.
So glad your finger is better and hope it will be back to full use very soon. I know it cramps your style. :o)
ReplyDeleteI've had the Princess today. She's got pink eye and couldn't go to MDO. But, it's been the perfect rainy day to stay inside and paint and make cupcakes. She's napping now.
Happy day to you!
She is adorable, glad you daughters back is better, I am way behind on my blog reading as well...yeah for the finger being better. Happy Sewing!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you could help out with the kids having fun acitivites. Hope her back is better
ReplyDeleteI agree...she is adorable! So glad you were able to sew...woohoo is right! Sorry about your Cards...know that was disappointing.
ReplyDeleteGood news on your finger Kathy!!! So glad to hear it is on the mend finally. And you're right - that little sweetheart is the most beautiful little ballerina I've ever seen :*)
ReplyDeleteNice to hear that you are finally on the mend! And your granddaughter is adorable!
ReplyDeletelove your hexies, well get back to mine one day.
ReplyDeletecute grandchild!
So glad to hear that your finger is doing better. So sad to hear the results of the last ballgame :(
ReplyDeleteYour little granddaughter is a 'cutie'! I have a soft spot in my heart for little ballerinas :)
What a sweet ballerina!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you finger is getting better. I had an issue with my right thumb last year and it's amazing to realize how much I used it! I changed some habits and it seems to have gotten better.
Have a great weekend!
Yes she is adorable!!! The hexagons look awesome. ((HUGS)) on the game.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, Glad you got some unexpected time with the grands. Sorry about the World Series; maybe next year. It is cold and windy here today; I want to start my Alaska quilt but hesitant to begin, just in case the new house works out and we have to move in 2014-I hate packing UFO's. Have a great weekend my friend!

Hey Kathy! To answer your question...we had no trouble sleeping. The louder music, dancing, etc was on other decks. We weren't bother at all by any noise. The parade was loud...but everyone was out watching that!!Hope you get to go again! :-)
