Slow Sunday Stitching and Other Stuff

Slow Sunday Stitching

I’m definitely going to be doing some Slow Sunday Stitching today … my plan is to continue to work on the borders on T#1’s spiral log cabin.  I have 1 side fully stitched, another side half stitched, and a quarter of the quilting done on a third side.  As I mentioned yesterday, I plan to take advantage of the extra hour today … with my needle and thread.  Winking smile

Our temperatures didn’t get as low as forecast Friday evening … not that it was balmy, but a low of 28 is certainly better than what was forecast … well, sort of.  It didn’t get much warmer last night, but tomorrow should be a pretty nice day – a high in the upper 60s.

Is anyone else looking forward to Wednesday as much as I am?  While it won’t be the end of the election coverage, at least we’ll be done with all these political ads.  Annoyed

DSIL’s sister posted wedding pictures on Facebook, so I had to grab a few of my Ts.

And this one, a candid shot of T#1 with his Nana, just melts my heart when I see his tenderness.

I hope that whatever you have planned for today includes a little something that brings you joy! Have a great day!

  1. I am so sick of all the political ads - I too will be so glad when it is done - but you know I bet as soon as this race is done they will start in with the presidential election within a couple months and round and round it goes!!

  2. Yes, I too will be ready for the ads to be over! But I am sure we will start hearing about the presidential election after Christmas! What a great photo of you and your grandson! Enjoy stitching today!

  4. What cuties! I'll be glad to have the political ads over, but then it will be time to start the presidential crap. I don't think I've seen a single positive ad - they're all negative, putting down their opponents. I have no idea what any of them stand for despite all the money they spend on ads. Anyway, I'll be stitching and watching football all day. Happy stitching!

  6. I think we are all on the same page with this election coverage...

Your grandkids are ALL so adorable, (love the boys in their ties!) but that picture of you with your oldest? Well HOW it could it not melt your heart? Soo sweet. I'd frame it. Enjoy your day!

  9. Beautiful pictures. I agree - it would be so nice to have a campaign with only positive ads... but it will be wonderful to have all the politics done for a little bit on Wednesday.

  10. I don't even answer the phone displaying numbers I don't recognize; they're all political calls! Arrggh!! Wednesday can't come soon enough for me either. My heart melted, too, at that precious photo of you and your grandson; what a blessing! I'm spending the afternoon sewing... YAY!! :)

  11. I'll also be delighted when Wednesday comes - no more ads and no more political phone calls. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if there were candidates out there that I wanted to vote for and that I knew what they stood for. Oh well, that's today's politics! The pictures of your grandkids are wonderful - very precious! Have a wonderful day! ~Jeanne

  12. At least I can change the station when an ad comes on. What I really hate are the phone calls.

  14. I love that picture too. I would treasure that one forever. Yes, so tired of those things in the mail box and the signs everywhere.
I really hope you had a nice day. It was a perfect day for hooking for me too.

  16. We got rid of our landline a few months ago and I have not regretted it one bit! I do not miss those elections calls.

That picture of you with your grandson is beautiful! I just love it!
