Thankful Thursday

A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all other virtues.  -- Cicero

It’s Thursday … and you know what that means!  Yep, it’s Thankful Thursday … a time when I stop to reflect on all that I have to be thankful for.  No, this is not the only time I take to be thankful … but I do want to develop a habit of deliberate, intentional thankfulness, and this helps.

I’m thankful for:

  • being able to get my plants into the ground
  • sunshine
  • air conditioning (according to our outdoor thermometer, it got up to 95 yesterday)
  • being able to get some quilting done yesterday
  • my knockout roses blooming
  • good books … and good friends who lend me their good books
  • baseball/softball season starting up … I love cheering on T#1 & T#2

  1. I enjoyed your list. I too LOVE the baseball/softball season. I love Volleyball and football season too, haha...I miss my kids playing these sports. So far my grands aren't involved, but it is coming and I am soo looking forward to it. Have a good day!

  5. I'm a day late and a dollar short, LOL, what a mess Blogger was yesterday, wasn't it? Talk about withdrawals not being able to get onto people's blogs!

all great things to be thankful for! 95 degrees! wow, what a difference from just a few short weeks ago with white stuff still making its appearance!

    enjoy the weekend!

  6. We still have our heat on occasionally! Glad you got your plants out...I love knockout roses, we had some in England. I need flowers in this yard but the animals are a real challenge.

  7. I'm glad you remind us to be more thankful for what we have and to focus less on what we don't have.
