Temperatures have dropped, and fall colors are popping up!
I love fall ... the vivid colors, getting to wear my sweatshirts and sweaters, quilting without breaking into a sweat ... I love fall. But I'd love it even more if it didn't mean that in another month we'll be in the grips of winter!
I've been spending time with my needle and thread ... but not all of that time has been productive. While watching the hockey game Sunday evening, I was piecing the third ornament ... here's my "finished" wreath.
Ooops! As I was putting in the last stitches, I realized I was sewing the two right sides together! :-o Obviously, I spent the rest of the game frog stitching.
At least my quilting has been productive.
I hope that whatever you have planned for today includes a little something that brings you joy! Have a great day!
Kathy
Beautiful colors. We are still in Aberta watching the wind blow the leaves off the trees
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are all soo pretty. STILL warm here. In fact, we are suppose to hit the mid 90's AGAIN tomorrow...getting just a little tired of all the heat. Can't tell you how many mistakes I was making at the end of last week, lol. It was time for a break. Now I feel like I've been away for a month! Enjoy your day Kathy!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen many fall colors around here. Unfortunately, we seem to go from green, straight to brown.
ReplyDeleteOur temperatures are still hovering near 80, during the day, so I'm still wearing shorts, but at least the nights are cooler.
Enjoy your day!
Beautiful Fall color. I'm a Fall gal, too.
ReplyDeleteOh, I get involved in sports on TV, too, and don't always realize what I am stitching. : )
I really love the fall around your house! It is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI can't watch T.V. and sew. I can listen to books on tape something like that but I will have to rip out and rip out when I try and do any sewing with something I am watching.
I hope you have a lovely day/
Kathy...thank you for your kind comments and prayers regarding the situation we're facing. I appreciate them so very much! The fall colors around here are really starting to POP! This has to be my favorite time of year!
ReplyDeleteOne of things I noticed when I lived in St Peters is that everyone in the ST Louis area has a burning bush, nice to see one again it's been awhile! Your making great progress on that log cabin.
ReplyDeleteSo glad the fall colors have finally reach you. Enjoy! ~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteI also love fall, it is very slow coming to our area.
ReplyDeleteLove the brightness of the fall colours too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fall colors, or leaves haven't turned yet but we have a taste of some cooler temperatures. I like fall, I just wish it wasn't followed by winter.
ReplyDeleteNot too many fall colors here just yet but they are on their way. We're enjoying some cool mornings but really warms up during the day.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just hate "back tracking" when you are quilting. But, guess it's all part of the process.
Happy rest of the week!
Fall is definitely here with all the pretty color changes such as the vivid burning bush. Too funny quilting without sweating. It's true.
ReplyDeleteyou have been making some progress - we all go slowly at times! hexies are so easy to get mixed up when sitting and doing something else at the same time if we don't pay quite close enough attention
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, I love your colors-so beautiful. I'm like you in the I love fall and if winter waits until before Christmas to appear, I'll be happy. Our weather hasn't been cold yet, so no sweatshirts out.
ReplyDeleteToday I finished my daily homework for bible study, got a hair cut, ran an errand to Walmart and now just catching up on blogs...maybe I'll get to cut tonight. The pattern is Birds in the Air with batic fabrics-it may end up looking to busy but hubby likes it.
Have a great evening.
hugs,
Noreen
Nice job Kathy! We are in our fall and I wished I had taken a picture yesterday. I got out at Costco and all the fall leaves were blowing and swirling around. I love fall and am looking forward to seeing snow this winter, but then again...ours melts quickly! Blessings today and always!
