We interrupt this blog

for the following rant:
Am I the only one left wondering when bloggers I’m following stop blogging without warning?  Today, I went to a blog I’ve been following for several months, and it doesn’t even exist any more!

Am I the only one who’s still asleep when the alarm clock goes off … but awake at that time on the days when I don’t have to set the alarm?

And along that same vein, am I the only one who has the motivation to tackle a major project (such as spring housecleaning) ONLY when I’ve already got a day filled with other obligations?

Now, back to our regular programming.

It’s been a busy day here … had the 3 youngest Ts this morning and took my dad to an appointment to follow up on his cataract surgery last week.  DH & I are planning a nice, quiet evening together since today is the last day of my “vacation” … it’s back to work tomorrow.

  1. I know what you mean. Then I wonder if their okay and just got bored. Some bloggers you get to know better than others and just makes you wonder why they don't just say I'm taking a bloggy break.

  2. You can rant all you want, it's your blog. But if you are planning to quit, please give me a warning so I can try to talk you out of it.

  3. I agree with LynnMarie-please, please, please don't quit(not that you would, just saying).
I think many quit because they don't feel they have anything to write about or don't have followers. For me-what started as something for my grands and friends has become life long friendships. Hugs to you today. Hey, wanna come clean windows with me, I'll come help with yours.
    Love you.

  4. It's terrible when a blogger doesn't let you know if they fell off the face of the earth or what. It does make you wonder what happened. I appreciate those that say they will be out of pocket for a few days, weeks, etc. Just a thoughtful act for your followers.

    Blessings to you!

  5. guilty here, I'm the one always leaving blogging, but then LOL eventually I come back. But I know what you mean, you get attached to someone and enjoy their friendship and blogs and then they are gone.

I'm the one that forgets and sets the alarm on the day I don't need it and then get irritated when it rings, waking me from a deep sleep :)

hope you enjoyed your quiet evening tonight!

  6. LOL, that bothers me so much when they quit without a word. Especially when it is someone you think you have developed a friendship with.

The cleaning thing...I relate! The best way to get me in the mood to do a big project is make sure my schedule is full.

  7. Was it anyone we would know? Have you even written back and forth through the comments.
Maybe you can find an old one and email her.
    Have a nice evening.

  8. I really love the name of your blog!

Sometimes, when blogs disappear without warning, it is because Blogger has shut them down - and not necessarily because they have done anything wrong. Sometimes blogs get down for spam, sometimes they get shut down for Google Adsense violations, sometimes they get shut down because someone intentionally or accidentally pressed the Report Abuse button on the Blogger Navbar (hint - remove the Navbar so this doesn't happen to you!) - and sometimes, Blogger makes a mistake (go to the Blogger Forum, you'll be shocked by how often this happens).

Sometimes bloggers DO quit without warning but most of the ones I have seen do give some warning before quitting - so if a blog you are following suddenly disappears - check back in a week or so just in case there was a problem that eventually gets resolved!
