After a long, long wait, we finally started getting some snow mid-afternoon. By dark, it was coming down pretty well. The forecast continued to be for 2-4 inches, but we got just an inch or so. The grass is just barely covered, the roads appear to be clear (although the driveways and sidewalks are snow-covered), and the trees and bushes are snow-covered … so pretty. All in all, it was another teaser snow. It’s beginning to look like we’re not going to get a “real” snow this winter.
While it was snowing, I was in the sewing room, stitching together the last of the pieced blocks. If I counted correctly, I have finished the pieced blocks … I need 95. Today I hope to be able to start cutting out the solid white blocks. If not today, definitely tomorrow.
The reason that I may not get any cutting done today is that I get to have some T time today. I’ll be at DD’s in the middle of the day … she’s got a hair cut appointment, so I’ll watch the Ts.
Because of the snow, we cancelled small group last night … so I got to watch Westminster. I watch it every year … I love seeing all the different dogs - and seeing the dog commercials, especially those Subaru dog-tested, dog-approved commercials. I can’t wait for tonight’s show … because we’ve owned labs (mixes and purebred) and a golden, we’re especially partial to the sporting group dogs.
Wile sitting in the office waiting to get my taxes done I was watching PBS on their TV. It was a "Sewing with Nancy" episode and she was working on a beautiful quilt with shades of blue - made me think of you!
ReplyDeleteGood morning...we got a little rain, but not much to speak of over here either. Winter has just not showed her face much...Have a wonderful day with those grands! HUGS
ReplyDeleteI love the dog show too. It just amazes me all of the breeds of dogs. I hope at least some of your snow sticks. Your quilt takes 95 blocks? Wow,
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your Grands, it sounds like a nice day. I will have all six here on Friday. I am gearing up. :) They do play pretty good together but I have to keep my eyes peeled.
Have a lovely day So glad you posted I Cor. 13 it really is what love is about. Not what society sees as love.
No snow here at all, it did warm up however to 21! I'm OK with no snow. I like the dog shows as well. Have fun with the T's.
ReplyDeleteWhile you seem to be missing out on the snow, we've been missing out on rain. We finally got a small shower of rain this morning. Yay for washing the pollen away!
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy Valentine's Day!
I am waiting for snow here also but I don't think it going to come this winter. Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteAt least you got the dusting. We can't even get more than two days of cold temps. I know we don't usually get snow but, every once in a while we do get a little bit. Not this year. Not even cold weather. I feel cheated!
ReplyDeleteHave fun today!
Happy Valentine's Day to you! I pray you get more snow, a real dumping, and are able to work on your blocks. WE are headed to Calif. for a week so I won't be by but know you'll be in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
I really wish we'd get some snow. The meteorologists have teased us a couple of times, but it hasn't happened. :(
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day. sandie♥
ReplyDeleteWe had snow too but it's gone already. Have fun watching the dogs.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely Valentine's Day.
