Spring has sprung here. Not only are we having delightfully warm days, but everything is budding out and blooming. We were out working in the yard again yesterday, and I thought I’d share the proof that spring is here in Illinois.
Here is our pear tree, in full bloom.
This is our neighbor’s magnolia, but we see it right outside our bedroom window.
My ajuga is blooming (you might need to click on this to open it as the contrast between the blossoms and the foliage didn’t photograph too well).
This bush is getting close to blooming. I wish I knew what it is … but it was planted when we moved in.
Here’s a picture from Spring 2010 … if anyone can identify this bush, I’d appreciate it.
And my hostas are coming up.
I just love spring … the warmer temperatures, windows and doors open, birds chirping, plants coming back to life.
My hostas are coming up too!! we ate dinner outside last night.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week!!
My hostas have poked through the ground too. It is officially spring - the houseplants have been moved back to the porch.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! Soo pretty. I love it too. Though we had a COLD rain storm ALL week-end...everything is in bloom here too. ENJOY your day!
ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful time of the year.
ReplyDeleteYep, I would say it looks like spring has arrived. Are you leaving this week? I bet you are excited. I wish I knew enough about flowers to tell you what you have. I have never seen any of those kinds.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
WOO HOO...it's definitely a reason to celebrate! It's been a long time coming, hasn't it? Have a HAPPY MONDAY, Kathy!
ReplyDeleteYep, your yard looks like ours! We're a tad bit ahead of you, since our blossoms are already falling off the trees and bushes :( I do love spring, and being outside in the beautiful weather!
ReplyDeleteWinter never bothered to show up around here this year so I'm not so happy to see spring springing up all over the place. The bugs are about to eat us up!
ReplyDeleteHi, Some of my bulbs are coming up but with rain/snow on the forecast I hope they don't die. We have several months yet before it is safe for us to plant. Hope you have a wonderful afternoon.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
Very pretty!!! I love Spring.
ReplyDeleteThose white unknown flowers look so very similar to the red bottle brush bush/tree...but the leaves are not even close. Now I'm wondering what it is too.
We are having spring here as well but not as much as you. Still, I love to see all the plants popping up our of the ground. Love Spring but my heart belongs to summer which may be here soon.....
ReplyDeleteOh, we're into Spring here too! The grass has greened up, the azalea's are in bloom and the temps are perfect. I don't want it to end. :o) Happy Spring to you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the buds of Springtime.
