Tuesday Trivia

I forgot to include in yesterday’s weekend wrap-up this picture that I took over the weekend.

Evidently the rainy, cool weather tricked our lilac into thinking that it’s spring.  Of course, I’m not complaining because I missed its blooming back in May, when we were in Florida.

It’s warmed and dried up here … a welcome relief (at least to me) from that rainy, cool weather.  I’m hoping that it will perk up our garden, too.

The Ts’ swim meets resume tonight … for the last 2 regular meets of the season.  There’s a conference competition scheduled for July 20 … I am confident that T#1 will qualify, T#2 is probably on the cusp of qualifying, and T#3 likely will not qualify (it’s ok … this was his first session on a team).

I got a little quilting done yesterday … I’m almost 3/4 done with the borders and am looking forward to getting it bound, washed & dried and delivered.  I’ll take a picture to share before I give it to T#4.

Have a terrific Tuesday!

  1. I think having a chance at Lilac is a good day.
I am glad you are getting some warm weather. When I read Laura Ingalls Wilder and in the Long Winter and how it just stayed and stayed I wonder if that is what kind of summer you are having. So much water.
    Have a delightful day.

  4. I love lilacs and have 13 of them in my yard. This would be a little tender mercy from heaven, to me. : )

  5. Pretty flower! My lilac bush is taking over the side of my house. Hubby doesn't trim the bushes often enough. Plus side, I have a lot of pretty flowers. =)
Don't forget to post pictures when your new quilt is done.

  8. I don't think lilacs grow well here either, but they are so gorgeous!

It has been dry here today too but we have storms with more rain headed here tomorrow.....I really do want to be thankful in all circumstances, but I must confess in so tired of rain!
