I’ve been up for
I think it’s safe to say that today is going to be a slow day here at Chez Nana. 
Yesterday DD treated me to an early Mothers’ Day gift … a gals’ day out. We met for a massage (my sore shoulder muscles will thank me tomorrow) and followed that up with a pedicure (a gal’s gotta have pretty toes for her beach time, don’t you think?). After lunch, we headed to DD’s to pick up DSIL and the Ts and met DH at the laser tag center (now I’ve got sore leg muscles to go along with those sore shoulder muscles
). We finished up our day with pizza at DD’s, watching Frozen (again … T#4 LOVES that movie! She stands glued to the TV through the entire movie … singing along to Let It Go … so sweet!), played a hand of Rook, and a late-night snack of milk shakes (half price shakes at Sonic!). What a fun day! Thankfully I don’t have a lot on my plate for today … I’ll meet DD at the dentist late this morning … my assignment is to watch whoever isn’t in the chair. We’ll see if T#4 is willing to let the hygienist “count her teeth” this time.
I will likely spend the rest of the day stitching up more triangle blocks. I got more of the dark gray triangles cut and would really like to have all the blocks pieced so I can start constructing the top when we get back. But given how easily distracted I’ve been during the writing of this post, I may re-think that plan. That’s ok … I’ve got plenty of things to do … hexies, packing, or just being lazy, sitting out on the deck with the book I started a couple of days ago.

don't you hate getting up super early! I am up just a little earlier than normal and I will need to be watching the clock a bit to get out the door and hit the road on time to not rush to the airport to get family

ReplyDeleteWell it's a rare day I am not up super early. Not sure why...just what I do. However I do have some things I need to get busy on today so I like the sound of your day much better. Yesterday sounded wonderful for you to me. I can't make up my mind for the new quilt for sure so I have browsing through pattern possibilities as part of my day. Enjoy yours!

ReplyDeleteIt is no fun to e short on your sleep. Probably there are just too many things running through your head. ;) It sounds like you've been having a lot of fun though, and that's a good thing!

ReplyDeleteMy two youngest grand daughters are Frozen fans and sing the songs too. They pretend they are the two princesses (helps that one of my grands is a blonde and the other a red head) Do you want to build a snowman is their favorite. Nice to be able to enjoy a day with your daughter, sounds like your all ready for the beach!
