This weekend I ...

* went to dinner on Friday night with friends (who just happen to be our neighbors)
* enjoyed the rain Saturday morning, even though it canceled T#1's soccer game
* got all the blocks pieced and squared up on the quilt I'm making for my DSIL; also got two rows stitched together
* helped DH power wash the deck
* watched the Cardinals honor Stan Musial at "Stand for Stan Day" at Busch Stadium ("Here Stands Baseball's Perfect Warrior. Here Stands Baseball's Perfect Knight.")
* rented/watched two movies, including The Blindside which we really enjoyed (I had tears in my eyes when Michael told Leigh Anne that he needed a "proper hug")
* went to church this morning and got a little time with the three bigger T's
* sanded the deck and got 9 - count them, 9 - splinters in my hands
* packed for our trip to Paducah

It was a good and productive weekend.

  1. The Cardinals were my team for a long, long time. I grew up till I was 12 yrs old in St Louis and my grandpa and I were the biggest Cardinal fans. I still remember him helping me be "sick" for the final game of the World Series in 1966 I believe. It was a day game and he picked me up from school when I got a tummy ache so we could watch the game together. hehe We won!

Great weekend. Except for the splinters.

  2. One of these days I need to try to make a quilt. I love the movie Blindside. I've watched it 2 or 3 times and still love it!
