Catching up

As much as I enjoy more daylight hours in the evening, this time change is really kicking my behind.  Or maybe it’s the fact that for the last week or so, it’s been taking me a good 2-3 hours before I can *finally* fall asleep.  As a result, I was running on fumes yesterday when I unexpectedly had the Ts over for the day.  Their mama has THE WORST sinus infection ever, so I got a call late Sunday asking if I could watch them yesterday so mama could get some rest.  The day went well in spite of the fact that none of us had nearly enough sleep the night before (Nana didn’t fall asleep until after 1:30 and the Ts got up at least an hour earlier than normal).  And now I’m back to work today to rest up from my busy day yesterday.  Ha!

The surprise snow we got yesterday is pretty much all gone.  I’m not sure how much we got since it was frequently mixed with rain … and the ground was warm enough that much of it melted on contact.  It looked like we had maybe a half inch accumulation by the time it stopped.  I’m so ready for winter to be done!

Hope you all are having a terrific Tuesday – and spring-like weather!

  1. I too am ready for winter to be done. We've had some beautiful weather.

I'm staying in doors getting cleaning done and laundry put away before I pick up Savannah.

Check out my blog. I've got a lil contest running.

    Have a great day!

  2. I take an OTC sleep aid called MidNite. It's chewable and you can take it anytime of the night without being groggy the next day. I found mine at Walmart.

  3. Hi there, So sorry you have had trouble getting to sleep-I often have that due to menopause-or post menopause. Thankfully though I haven't had the grands over when I'm sleep deprived. All our grands have had a hard time adjusting to.
Hope your energy returns. We are having delightful weather-tomorrow should be around 75.
    Hugs, Noreen

  5. I sympathize with you; as one who suffers from insomnia from time to time, I know how frustrating it is to lie there and want to sleep and sleep doesn't come. But what a trooper you were to help out with your daughter with the grands!!
