It’s Thursday … a day when I take some time to be intentionally thankful. While I try to have an attitude of gratitude every day of the week, there’s something about stopping and focusing on some of the ways I’ve been blessed.
I’m thankful for:
- being able to leave work yesterday 4 1/2 hours early after I get a call from DD (one of the reasons I felt comfortable returning back to work, even if just temporarily, was that I knew that I’d be able to be available for DD – even at a moment’s notice)
- almost 2 inches of rain in the last couple of days … good, gentle, steady rain that is just what we needed
- my crockpot … since I got home early yesterday, I could get dinner going in the crockpot by noon so I could spend the afternoon with the Ts and still have dinner ready to go so we could be done with dinner before the first pitch of Game 1
- my sweet hubby … he has breakfast on Wednesdays with a friend at the Bread Co. and alwaysbrings me home a bagel
what did you make in your crockpot?
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful mom you are! Don't ya just love the crockpot? I am with Kimberly, what did you make? Glad you didn't miss a single pitch of the game, haha... ; ) Have a good day! HUGS
ReplyDeleteHi there, Loved your thankful list-I forgot it was TT. That's what happens when you are on vaction-you forget what day it is. This well may be the last vacation for a long time, even though hubby has another one scheduled next year. Enjoy the cooler weather. Sending love your way.

I used my crockpost a lot when I was working. ( I've not worked only 2 1/2 years.) It is easy and delicious. I'm thankful this is the first day since March, I have been able to open the doors and windows to let cool air in. ahhhhh, love it.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you are thankful that the Cardinals won too!!
