Thankful Thursday

Hard to believe that it's Thursday already ... and even harder to believe that we're now one week away from Thanksgiving.  All the more reason to stop and take a few moments to be intentionally thankful.

I'm thankful for:

  • DD who graciously opens her home to all of us for Thanksgiving

  • the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving morning in the kitchen with DD as we work together to prepare the Thanksgiving meal

  • a pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving meal today ... my office has always had a catered Thanksgiving lunch about a week before Thanksgiving ... and since I'm back in the office, I am able to participate this year

  • DH who will do the Thanksgiving shopping tomorrow since it's take $10 off any purchases totaling $50 or more (he does the grocery shopping anyway, but this is above and beyond the call of duty)

  • my Ts ... being their Nana is a privilege and responsibility that I do not take lightly

  • only 2 more weeks (5 more days) of work before I can go back to being full-time retired ;-)

  1. My daughter is having Thanksgiving at her house this year for the first time. I'm looking forward to going over early that morning to help her through all the preparations. She's a little nervous but with a little help from me and her mil, I'm sure everything will be great!

  6. Hug the grands for me. I'll do Thanksgiving for just Terry and I, but I am counting the days until this Nana goes north for Christmas to get my own hugs.

  7. Oh, wow, how wonderful to have Thanksgiving at your daughter's. We will be going to our local Country Club with our son, his wife and our Princess. I feel a little bad about it but I just don't want to cook and we all love the buffet there. Works for me! Happy Friday!

  8. Yea! The countdown is so close!! You can get through those five days! And one of them is the feast day, right? Good for hubby shopping for you! He's wise to go early; the stores will start getting packed closer to the "big day". I bet it will be a very grand celebration with the T's and DD/her hubby!

great list to be thankful for!

  11. Hi from Kelly's Older blogger linky!! Thanks for your visit. Since you are a Nana too- you might enjoy this- when our grandson was born we started calling my hubs Grampy, so Grammy sounded cute- well after about 4 months or so, I decided I liked Nana better!!! My daughter (Little Mama) did too! Blessings! Love, ~Nana~
