It’s Friday … what better way to kick off the weekend than with some Fragments!
We got snow – a REAL snowfall! We got 5 1/2 inches here yesterday! I just LOVED sitting in my warm living room, quilting, and watching the snow fall.
Tomorrow we’ll head out to meet my Dad and help him with the drive back home. Seems like it was just a couple of weeks ago that we helped drive him down. Thankfully the roads we’ll be taking already are clear (from yesterday’s storms).
I’m making progress on quilting T#2’s quilt … I’m wondering how I’ll quilt the borders.
I’ve been perusing Pinterest trying to find some new recipes. I’m getting bored with the same old recipes. I found a new one that I tweaked to make a little healthier … it was good, worth trying again (with some more tweaking to suit our tastes). Right now I’m “batting .500” with the new recipes … I’ve found 2 that are keepers and 2 that I probably won’t make again.
I finished Team of Rivals, and none of the books on my Kindle are screaming “Read me! Read me!”. <sigh> Guess I’ll just quilt instead.
you got alot of snow! Enjoy it and have a good weekend, Kathy!
ReplyDeleteI just got the new kindle paperwhite about 2 weeks ago. I was so excited to read in bed, but have been too tired since I got it. Sigh....Murphy's Law I guess
ReplyDeleteThe snow looks so fresh and pretty.
ReplyDeleteI'm always trying new recipes too. I get tired of the same old ones week after week.
We got snow too and now I have to go out and clean off my car. YUCK!!
ReplyDeleteGood morning I know how you feel about new recipes...I am tired of the same old, same old, haha. What did you find that was good? Enjoy your week-end!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got your snow : )
ReplyDeleteI just downloaded a bunch of books to my Kindle. Now its just finding time to read them. If I had a nice snow day, I would :)
ReplyDeleteYou guys got a lot of snow. We just got ice, but it's warming up today and melting nicely.
ReplyDeleteI need to find some new recipes too. Maybe I'll check Pinterest out too.
Hope you have a great weekend!
I am so glad you finally got some real snow. It looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.
Glad you got snow! We got about the same but it is still snowing! Why don't you share the 'good' recipes? We all need inspiration! Happy quilting! ~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteHi friend, 5 1/2" is a lot of snow. Glad you got to stitch and stay warm. I've got three books on my IPad ready to read-guess I should do it too.
ReplyDeleteBe safe driving your dad-still seems like the East Coast is getting hammered.
Hugs today.
Noreen
The snow is beautiful. It is hard to believe your dad is already going home. Time is passing so quickly. Have a nice time and a safe drive. Pinterest is the best for recipes and it gets me motivated to cook. I tweak them too or make them low carb.
ReplyDeleteYay snow!! We have more too, and I am not complaining.
ReplyDeleteI still plan on learning to quilt someday. I have the basics down, but we moved before a friend could help me with the finishing edges.
I have found a couple good and a bad recipe off Pinterest. Some I can just tell by reading them that they won't really fly for us. But it is fun to experiment, eh?
I just tried a few new recipes too. It is not something I do often but gotta love Pinterest. It has me wanting to knock my house down and start over too:)
ReplyDeleteWe have had no significant snow here...yet. I am headed to Florida for 2 weeks in March I'm pretty sure the blizzard will hit while I'm there:)
I know a book available on kindle...lol
Have a fabulous weekend and stay warm.
Yep, I get tired of the same ones, too, and like to add in some new ones. Snow looks pretty!
ReplyDeleteOur daughter has had 14" of snow in Dodge City. Ugh! Glad that the roads are clear for you to meet and get your Dad.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
