- Now that the baseball season is over, we’ve sprung for the Blockbuster Total Access – home delivery. We’ve been getting caught up on our movie watching. We refuse to pay what movie theaters (aka “movie-aters” per T#3) charge these days, and with a DVD, we can turn on the closed captioning and turn up the volume so DH can hear. Now if I could just remember all the movies I’ve been wanting to see over the last year or so.
- I’ve been taking 1000 mg of Vitamin C this winter, and so far (praise God!) I’ve been free of any colds/URIs. And it’s not like I haven’t been exposed to any germs (thanks to the Ts, who definitely make germ exposure so worth it! ).
- I finished hand quilting my latest quilt. Today I will cut the strips for the binding and get that sewn on. And then it will be time to start cutting strips and blocks for my blue and white Irish chain. That means I’ll be sequestered in the 3rd bedroom/sewing room … but there’s a TV and DVD player in there, and I can move my laptop in there, too.
- We booked our cruise. Now we’re working on our passport applications.
- Not sure why … even now that I’m retired, I still find myself looking forward to the weekends.
- There’s snow in the forecast … but not very much … an inch if we’re lucky, probably significantly less than that.
We have sunshine today with possible 1"-2" snow later. It is wonderful to have our fog gone! Have fun sewing today. ~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteNice and warm here today. Where are you cruising off to?
ReplyDeleteI still look forward to the weekends too. And congrats on the cruise. And I wish I could quilt. Awesome. sandie
ReplyDeleteRain here as well, lots of rain. I enjoy watching movies at home, I can wear my pj's, pause the tv to go to the bathroom, eat dinner and enjoy the movie so much more in my comphy home. Now finish that quilt! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI never go to the show anymore either, we just wait too. It sounds like a nice week.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your snow today.
I look forward to weekends too. Just like I look forward to September and new pencils and pens and notebook paper. I might forever.
I can't wait to see a picture of your new quilt.
I can't wait to see pictures of the quilts!
ReplyDeleteWhere are you cruising to?
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteSounds like your super busy but having fun. Suggestion; buy a inexpensive notebook from WallyWorld and label it movies and put the name of the movie and date it was in theatre that way you have a idea of what you want to rent in the future.
Take care. Viola
Hi Kathy, So many details of life-I love getting caught up!
ReplyDeleteWe used to do Netflix but didn't use it enough to justify the expense. We do go to bargain days at the movies-either $2.00 or $5.00 a movie and in winter it gets us out of the house. As for Vit. C, I take it daily-usually between 500-1000mg. per day and if I feel like I'm fighting at UTI, I'll take at least 2,000. It really helps! It also helps fight colds, with grands around I appreciate that.
I just started hand quilting my latest quilt top; I do have another that I need to put binding on too. Today is lovely, I'd love to go driving. Have a delightful weekend.
Hugs, Noreen
I look forward to the weekends too even though I am home everyday. How exciting that you booked your trip!
