I got the quilt top finished. I finished this in the fields and furrows setting instead of my usual barn raising setting. I like this setting (I wanted to try something a little different) … but it’s confirmed that I really do prefer the barn raising setting. But I’m not going to rip out all those stitches to re-set it. Now it will sit waiting for me to finishing the hand quilting on my single Irish chain quilt. I’ll be sure to share pictures of both of those once they’ve been quilted and bound.
I won’t be getting to that hand quilting today. I’ve got the 4 Ts coming over for the day. I love to quilt … but I love spending time with my Ts even more!
It looks like we’re going to get some of that rain that I thought we were going to get yesterday. I certainly hope so … we need some rain.
Your quilt is lovely! Enjoy your fun day with the T's!

Your log cabin quilt is lovely! I've been following your progress as you worked on it. I always enjoy your blog, and feel like it is a taste of home--I grew up about 50 miles from where you are.

ReplyDeleteIt's looks fantastic! You're so talented! Did I tell you that Birdie is teaching herself how to quilt? Deanie sent her all of her tee shirts and Birdie has finished the top of that quilt---it is amazing! I am in awe of all you quilters- I don't think I have the patience or the talent!

ReplyDeleteKathy, Have I told you that you inspire me?! Your work is wonderful, want to come help me with a new quilt?
ReplyDeleteI've got so much to do, besides helping a friend unpack there is a basement that needs a thorough reorganization and I need to really plan what I'll do with the baby panel for the quilt.
Have fun with your T's today.
