Just a quick check-in here at the Bread Co. … we’re still “displaced,” but we should be able to get back into the house earlier today than we did yesterday. The job yesterday took longer than they anticipated, so we weren’t able to get back into the house until close to 8:30 last night (we had to wait until the stain dried … there’s so much hardwood that there is no way to get anywhere else in the house without walking on hardwoods). We’re very pleased with the stain color we chose and can’t wait to see how it looks with the finish and the baseboards back up/appliances back in place.
Yesterday we shopped for mattresses and bedding. We hit the jackpot … our mattresses will be delivered on Saturday … I can’t wait! The only thing I need to get are towels in a brick red for the master bath. Today we’ll go shopping for fabric for my next quilt (or two). DH has brought a book, so I’ll be free to shop as long as I like.
It’s going to be another hot one today … and tomorrow. And that’s not the heat index, either.
See that rain in the forecast for Thursday? Don’t go holding your breath waiting for it to happen … there’s a 30% chance of rain, which in these parts means 0% (even in non-drought conditions).
Glad you like the finished product...new bedding and fresh towels are one of life's little pleasures. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWow! Those temperatures are awful! Stay cool. I'm excited for you and all of your new home improvements :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see pictures of all the new! Have fun shopping.
ReplyDeleteHi there, I can't wait to see photos of your floors finished. Isn't it great that we can get internet at lots of places other than at home. Can't wait to see your bedding too.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and stay in air conditioned stores.
Hugs, Noreen
Glad all is going well! We got 1/2" of rain last night - our first in months. Problem is we also got a wicked storm. We were fortunate losing only 2 trees and no other damage. Many are worse off. We got electricity back a few hours ago and the internet just a bit ago. With this weather, I am thankful we can use the A/C. ~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteExcited to see all your new home projects. WOW...soo warm. Do your best to stay cool! HUGS
ReplyDeleteSound like it's going to be worth all the trouble. So glad you are pleased!
ReplyDeleteHope you are going to have pictues. Our temps high as well but we had rain in a big way over the weekend, try to stay cool!
ReplyDeleteThe only true definition in the forecasting is 100%....When it rains. I get a kick out of the weather predictions....either you have a 50% chance or not. But, hope it does rain for you...we need it so desperately no matter where we're living.
ReplyDeleteGreat news about the mattress. And the towel color sounds really like something I'd like. Hope you show photos of the new staining work when you can.
More quilts? Wow....impressive.
I know Wisconsin had some rain today so maybe you will get some. How exciting to get a new mattress. Rest well when it comes.
ReplyDeleteI hope you sleep well in the hat - lol. sandie
