Friday Fragments
It’s Friday … I think. Let’s see, the 4th felt like Saturday, yesterday felt like Friday, and today? Not sure what day today feels like yet.
I got to spend the evening with the Ts last night. My heart melted when I was putting T#1 to bed, and he asked for me to pray. I’ve always prayed a blessing over the Ts whenever I have an opportunity to put them to bed, and it just made my heart melt to know that he wanted me to pray over him.
I am going to call to get an appointment with my doctor today. The major area (surrounding the diagnosed bug bite) is looking better, and it appears that the infection is clearing up. But there’s still a large area of redness that’s concerning to me … as well as the blistery area on my other arm. It can’t hurt to have it re-checked.
We finished another puzzle yesterday, and DH picked up another one for us to work while at Wal-Mart. This one is of the Key West lighthouse, which reminds me that we need to schedule another trip to the Keys. Not only are there plenty of things/places that we didn’t see the last time we were there (Bahia Honda is high on my list), we didn’t get to climb the lighthouse (by the time we finished touring Hemingway’s house, the lighthouse was closed to visitors ).
It’s going to be another hot one today … day #9 of 100+ temperatures. (My post won’t be complete without the 7-day forecast. ) But there appears to be “relief” in sight, as it’s going to “cool down”. And the chance for rain has increased to 40%. Maybe we will get some rain … we’re certainly going to be praying for some.

I hope you do get a break in the heat. It is tiring when it just seems to go on and on.
ReplyDeleteWeeds like it. :)
I love it when my grands ask for prayer. It makes me feel so thankful and blessed.
Have a wonderful weekend.
yikes!!! Good thing you're going to get it looked at again. Dang bug!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's so precious praying with a little one. Our oldest Grand (whose 4) is starting to say his own prayers & it just melts me!
hot! and I thought 101 was hot. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday.
It's just as hot here, and I live a in Chicago 'burb!
ReplyDeletePuzzles, I'd loved to blog about this. My husband is obsessed whenever we do one. He can't sleep well until it's done. I kid you not. He's like a forensic scientist about an undone puzzle.
Well, now you've gone and done it. I'm officially jealous. There are NO 80s in our forecast. Sniffle. :) How sweet your grands are! I hope to have some of those one day. IF Breezy and BestSonInLawEVER will get with it. LOL
ReplyDeleteHi dear friend, Glad to catch up on all you are doing. Also glad you are going to have your bite rechecked. You don't have brown recluse spiders there do you? I will be praying that the area heals completely. We are now getting rains each afternoon/evening-I'd be happy to send you some. Our lawn is just as yours is-so ugly in places and it looks so dead. Hope it comes back. Have a wonderful weekend my friend.
ReplyDeleteLove, Noreen
Good thing to do on hot days, puzzles! the new one sounds like a great one too! I hope the visit to the doctor was productive today and you know what is causing that rash on your arm!
ReplyDeletehow sweet with the little T asking for prayer :)
betty
Even up here in HOT-Consin we've topped 100 each day this week!!!
ReplyDeleteI know just what you mean about the heat...and the heat index with such high humidity is making us MELT.
ReplyDeleteYes...be sure to sure to get your bite checked out. Brittany got an infection under her armpits recently because she shaved too close and had to go on a course of antibiotics. The weather here is HOT, HOT, HOT! The humidity is about to choke me out...and dare I say what it does to my hair! BLECH!i
ReplyDeleteOh, I do hope the bite is okay! Sort of scary.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet that your Grandson wanted you to pray for him. Melt my heart!
It's still hot here too but we hoping for a reprieve. Happy week!
