Another weekend is history … which means that it’s time for the Weekend Wrap-up. Click on the button above if you’d like to join in.
We had the refrigerator repair guy stop by Friday to check out our icemaker. Of course, he couldn’t find anything wrong with it. <sigh>
Saturday we spent the day at my dad’s. We stopped at the Farmer’s Market on the way and got him some homegrown peaches … we got a watermelon, some zucchini and green beans for us.
Sunday afternoon I had my quilting and NCIS marathon.
The rain in the forecast failed to materialize here … and evidently our cool down is over … if you want to call temperatures 10 degrees warmer than normal a cool down. Another heat advisory was put in effect on Sunday … the humidity levels are back up to where they normally are during the summer, which when combined with temperatures in the upper 90’s means we’re under another heat advisory.
The veggies and watermelon look so good. Glad you got some quilting and NCIS time. We watched some movies and I crocheted. So relaxing.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
I have never watched NCIS. The vegetables look good and I am sure taste great. We are having another heat wave too - last night it did a rain bit.
ReplyDelete& of COURSE they couldnt find anything... sigh...
ReplyDeleteheat advisory is back here too... my hands were actually sticking to my steering wheel this morning with the humidity
It was a quiet weekend here, but we did get several light rain showers. Now the grass needs mowing again!
ReplyDeleteI've never watched NCIS, I suppose I may be missing something good?...I'll have to check it out.
Have a blessed Monday!
Good morning! I am hoping to get to the Farmers Market this week too. Soo many nice veggies. I too have never watched NCIS but I might give it a try. We have cooled WAY down over here thank goodness, and the humidity is gone. Boy was that ever icky. We are suppose to be around 75 today....just perfect. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteHere too, here too. This is the 2nd summer of drought and I don't like it much. The humidity keeps us indoors most hours of the day, but we do try and get out some during the week anyway...just not for long. I wait for Autumn!!! Just think, NCIS's 9th season comes out in DVD which I can hardly wait for....then, the new season begins in September. I hope the next couple months speeds by so I can find out what and how Duckie survives.
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad we're out of the 100's for our temps! It's rained almost every day this past week. Everything greened up!
ReplyDeleteps....go out to hulu.com [google 'hulu'] and you can watch the entire last season of NCIS......free. Once you're into hulu, in the search box, type in NCIS
ReplyDeleteOR go out to google and type in NCIS....you could probably get them free online to watch through cbs.
I hate to say it but, if I could reach through the computer, I'd take those zucchini right out from under your nose! LOL We eat zucchini nearly every single day. Have you ever shredded it with an egg and a little cheese and used it as crust for a pot pie? So good!
ReplyDeleteps again....okay then, go out to google and type in NCIS...I'm sure you can find the complete season #9 to watch.
ReplyDeleteHi there, Love seeing your fresh produce! I still haven't made it to the local farmer's market-just too busy. We are having temps in the 90's too with little sprinkles occasionally but not a lot of rain, so my lawn is looking bad. Hope you stay cool and enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
Oh no, I don't like that news on the ice machine. Yummy things you picked up at the Farmer's Market! Sorry you didn't get the rain. I know my brother is miserable in Milwaukee with all of this heat. He only has a window unit in his apartment.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy!
ReplyDeleteWe've been very fortunate to get some rain over the past several days. Really has been beneficial to our new sod. Of course, the humidity has been out the roof! They don't call it HOT-LANTA for nothing!
Makes me want some watermelon right now. sandie
ReplyDeleteoh well, at least there was a bit of a respite between heat advisories. Your produce from the farmer's market looked good! Doesn't that always happen when the repairman comes by he can't find anything wrong?
ReplyDeletebetty
We're in dire need of rain here too...it threatens but never materializes. I dread seeing my water bill.
ReplyDeleteStay cool!
Your "greens" look great! I love fresh food! It's 103 here right now. Wish we could get rain too! Thanks for joinging in and I apologize I'm so late in getting over here to your blog. I haven't even opened my laptop all week, but in my defense I've gotten a lot of other stuff done!
