Another week has flown by … and it’s time for the Hodgepodge once again.
1. How many students were in your high school graduating class? Did you know most, if not all of them?
There were approximately 150 students in my H.S. graduating class. I don’t remember exactly how many students there were … the memory, she ain’t what she used to be. And I knew all of them, not personally, but I knew who they all were. And thanks to Facebook, I’ve reconnected with several of them.
2. What was the last thing you photographed?
My grands when they were here last Thursday.
3. Pickles-love 'em or loathe 'em? If its love what's something you eat that needs a pickle?
I am not a fan of pickles, but I don’t hate them. I do have to put sweet pickle relish in my chicken salad … does that count?
4. What's a stereotype you seem to perpetuate without meaning to?
I cannot think of one right now.
5. Ever been horse back riding? If so is it something you enjoy? If not, do you have any interest? Did you watch the Kentucky Derby? Will you be watching the last leg of the Triple Crown this weekend?
I went horse back riding once … and that was enough. It seemed that the horse and I could never get in synch … when the horse/saddle went up, I went down. Ouch! I’m not a fan of horse racing, so I will not be watching the last leg of the Triple Crown this weekend.
6. What's your favorite 'wedding' movie?
I like Steve Martin, so I’ll choose Father of the Bride.
7. What is one 'tourist attraction' in the USA that you'd like to see in person?
That seems to assume a “tourist attraction” that I’ve not already seen. DH & I would like to visit the coast of Maine. I don’t imagine that we will ever make it there … we prefer to hit the beach when it’s warm and before/after the busy season (when it’s not so crowded and the rates are lower).
8. Insert your own random thought here.
My dad’s cataract surgery went well. I’ll be leaving in about an hour to get him to bring him down for his follow-up appointment and then back home. We’ll stay out for the afternoon, getting home in time for a quick dinner before heading to see T#2’s softball doubleheader. Another busy day at Chez Nana.
Glad your dad is ok!!!
ReplyDeleteYep - if you & the horse arent in sync, it can be a bumpy ride :)
Glad your dad is doing well. I completely forgot to mention pickles in tuna & chicken salad!
ReplyDeleteWe were on the coast of Maine in September a couple of years ago. I finally understood why people were always gushing about it. Acadia National Park might be one of the prettiest places on earth. And then of course there are all those lobster rolls : )
ReplyDeleteGlad your dad's surgery went well.
I have heard New England is gorgeous in the fall.Keeping fingers crossed-maybe you will be able to go one day. Glad our dad's surgery went well.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with your dad. Maine in fall is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteSo glad your dad's surgery went well! I'm with you on the pickles and Father of the Bride! AND Maine! I would love to live in a cottage on the coast there!
ReplyDeleteYou HAVE to see Maine. It is gorgeous! We've been there quite a few times and always have a good time.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! I love Father of the Bride...such a cute movie. Glad your dad is doing well. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI rode a horse twice....the first one ran with me and I almost had a heart attack and the second one didn't end well either. I leave things that are way bigger than me alone!
ReplyDeleteSo glad your dad is doing well!
I loved Father of the Bride too!!! The first one and the one with Steve Martin
There's nothing better to photograph than "the grands" :)
ReplyDeleteYep, it sounds like another busy day for you. Enjoy!
Acadia National Park will never be confused with being a warm beach. That being said it is breathtakingly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Father of the Bride - I like pickles - and I had 771 in my graduation class! Nice to know you better. sandie
ReplyDeleteMaine would be awesome, I would love to visit someday. Other places we visited were about 40 years ago and we need to do them again. Love Father of the Bride! Glad all went well with your dad and have fun at the game.
ReplyDeleteI would love to travel the coast of Maine! Glad your dad's surgery went well.
ReplyDeleteMy HS graduating class only had 76 people in it. Our HS did and still does average about 500 students, so our class was small back in the day even.
ReplyDeleteI haven't ridden many horses. the last was about 10 years ago, we went on a horseback ride in the rain forest in Puerto Rico when we stopped there on a cruise. I haven't seen the Grand Canyon. That's on my list. I agree with you on Maine though. I've only seen sandy beaches, not the rocky ones.
I am glad the surgery went fine. It is busy at Chez Nana. That always cracks me up.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed each of your questions today. I started a Bible Study with my girls today on Wednesdays. I had all seven grands. It was busy so that is why this very tired Grandma is just getting around. :) it was fun though. They just love playing with cousins.
Glad to hear your dad's surgery went well!! I never thought of putting sweet pickle juice in with chicken salad; I'll put dill pickle juice into potato salad; yum!
ReplyDeletebetty
Would you believe that I had only 50 in my graduating class? I loved it because we were all the BEST of friends! Father of the Bride gets me every time! Glad your dad's surgery went well! Have a good one, Kathy!
