It was a pretty busy weekend here at Chez Nana.
We spent Saturday visiting my dad. We were able to help him get a few things done that he has trouble doing by himself, watch the ball game (the Cardinals lost ) and have a nice visit.
I was able to spend a little while in the sewing room … a few hours Friday afternoon and again Sunday afternoon. I finished up NCIS Season 6 and got a good start on Season 7. Here’s a little more than half of what I’ve been able to accomplish so far.I also have 5 more rows ready to press and sew on … there will be a total of 17 rows so the body of the quilt will be 17x17 (34”x34”); I’ll have borders to make the wall quilt finish at 42”x42”.
We had dinner out Friday evening – with two couples from our neighborhood and Sunday – we both had obligations at church that finished at about the same time, so we stopped at Panera.
Our Sunday also included church in the morning and a bit of rain in the evening.
There’s something rather satisfying by a nice “bookended weekend” … a visit with my dad surrounded by sewing and dinner out.
What a nice weekend you had and the quilt looks great!

Happy Monday to you. You are doing so well on the quilt-I'm still working Glad you had such a good weekend; hopefully it will cool off and you'll get more sewing done.

I like a weekend that begins and ends with dinner out too : ) In the winter I enjoy a cozy dinner at home on Sunday evening but in the summertime we typically do light meals on Sunday nights and a heartier lunch after church. Have a nice week!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your dad enjoyed your visit immensely. Oh, how I love Panera...I need to go there more often! Glad your weekend went well, Kathy!
