There’s much rejoicing here at Chez Nana. It’s Friday! It’s the start of a long weekend! Isaac is coming and bringing 3-5” of rain with him! And it’s time for Friday Fragments!
I managed to get my wall quilt pieced together yesterday … I was in such a hurry to get it basted and in the hoop, ready for quilting, that I forgot to take a photo of the finished top. So I took a photo of it in the hoop … it should give you all an idea of what it’s going to look like.I plan to do plenty of quilting this weekend … we’ve got perfect quilting weather in the forecast.
This morning, I’m going shopping with DD this morning … she’s on a mission to get shoes for the Ts. I may get some more time with the Ts tonight as DD is doing a vendor fair at a fundraising event for Alzheimer’s research.
Our counters are going to be installed this afternoon … and I cannot wait. Granted, we won’t have the plumbing hooked up until Tuesday, but at least I will have counters.
Am I the only one who’s getting sick and tired of all the political ads posts on Facebook? And we’ve got over 2 months before the election. <sigh>
No plumbing over the holiday weekend? Perfect excuse for take out everynight :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rain - we're getting it too.. actually looking forward to it
New counters.......now that's exciting. Take a picture when they are in.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your rain!
Good to have a plan when the weather is keeping you in. Political ads are on my list of the worst type of ads. I don't mind ads on the web unless they take over your screen. A box or two on the side of the page is acceptable to me.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your completed wall quilt! It's coming right along! I know you're ready to get your kitchen back in order. Hope you have a successful shopping excursion and an enjoyable weekend!
ReplyDeleteI hate political ads. They seem to drone on for-ever! Your quilt is stunning by the way! I'm jealous of your new counters! I've wanted new ones since we've moved into our house. It's not in the budge as of yet. Have a fabulous Labor Day weekend!
ReplyDeleteSICK of the political ads is not a strong enough word. I think they are all nasty, from both sides.
ReplyDeleteYep I have been sick of them these last 4 years!!! My nephew who loves politics and I have always loved to talk about it came over and I had to say, not this year, I am so tired of all of them, I know I shouldn't be that way but really. They just talk and talk and blame. No one does anything so I am sounding like those ads.
ReplyDeleteI bet you are excited about your new counter tops. How nice to get some rain, I hope it has time to soak the ground really good and not run off.
Have a nice weekend anyway enjoy your sewing.
I am sick of political ads, too. I get US television in Honduras, so I see US pol ads. We are having an election for president in Honduras this fall, too. My city is overrun with billboards, rallies, etc.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend. Yes I don't like the ads at all.
ReplyDeleteI am with you on political ads, hate them, I'll be glad when the election is over and we can be done with them. Have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteKathy, I too am so sick and tired of the ads on FB, and it is hard to just let them go when they are the opposite of what I believe, but I'm ignoring them. I love the wall hanging but I think quilting that would hurt my head & eyes. Glad you get the counter tops in tomorrow. I should be ready to do the binding tomorrow. I got a hole in my thimble, so need to figure out how to fix it or send it to be repaired. It was a very expensive one that I got about 9 yrs ago, sterling silver and very pretty. I love it!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend my friend.

I cannot stand the political ads! I told my husband one night that if I heard a certain politician's voice one more time I was going to start screaming!
ReplyDeleteQuilting in the rain sounds good.....well, if you quilt that is! :))
Have a great weekend!
I hope you have a great weekend. sandie
