A little randomness for your Friday

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again (and again no doubt) … my life = random ergo my blog = randomness.

I’ve mentioned that I have little, if any, tolerance for cold, so earlier this week I caved and cranked up the thermostat a couple of degrees to try to take the chill off.  As much as I hate paying the gas and electric company, I hate being cold even more.  So why is it that this morning, I’m sitting here in a pair of sweats, a light-weight fleece jacket and a full-length robe – still chilled?

I suspect that I’m trying to come down with something … I’m all stopped up with an occasional dry cough and just not feeling 100%.  Been like this for a week and a half, and I’m beginning to wish I would just get whatever I’m fighting and get it over with.  <sigh>

I got the results of my mammogram and bloodwork back yesterday … everything is good.  Whew!  That was quick.

Other than a few phone calls that I need to make today, I have nothing on the agenda … I see time with needle and thread in my future.  Winking smile

Today I’m thankful for:

  • Getting together for lunch with a group of folks from church – I had a good time

  • Warmer weather this weekend

  • The scent coming from my scent warmer

  1. I do hope you aren't coming down with something. It must be really cold.
We finally have colder weather weekend and you get warmer weather. Isn't that funny how it flip-flops.
I hope you are able to shake whatever it is you have.
I am glad your days isn't so busy and you can rest.

  3. Hi there, I'm sorry that you are fighting something but the best thing for you to do today is to stay warm and stay inside. Sewing sounds absolutely perfect! So thankful all your tests came back normal-I hate that as we get older, I worry more about the results-so in the end put off doing tests.
I went garage saling with my friend and then went on a long walk-not sure why but my pace has slowed a lot..maybe it is the cool air, just don't want to hurry. Have a good weekend; I love get togethers but feel that I could use some time off.
    Hugs, Noreen

  5. Yea, I'm with you, if you are coming down with something, get it and get it over with. :o) Hoping it isn't anything and that you'll be "good as new" soon.

The Princess and I had a great day today but I'm kicked back in my recliner recovering.

    Happy weekend!

  7. I'll agree with the other commenters that said to take vitamin C; I do that the first sign I think I'm getting sick (I trained my son to do the same thing, LOL) to take it in mega doses and usually I can shake off getting sick. I do hope you feel better soon!

I had to laugh (but not too loud) about all you have on to try to keep warm. I am like that; its like the cold gets into your bones and there is nothing you can do to warm yourself up. I do hope the weather is warmer this weekend so you can warm up a bit!

  10. Feel better soon!! [My husband is like that ---he gets chilled when it's 60 degrees outside and comfortable inside - but I know he has thin blood, I think that has a lot to do with it]
