Another weekend has come and gone … a busy, exhausting but wonderful weekend.
Friday morning I had my annual check up … no problems encountered. Got my orders for my annual mammogram and routine bloodwork (Wednesday morning). I got home from my doctor’s appointment just in time to head out for lunch with my neighbor. She suggested lunch at a small Italian café in a historic neighborhood of St. Louis … DH and I had eaten there a couple of times, so I was thrilled with her choice. I had a half order of seafood cannelloni … I’m wishing now that I’d ordered a whole order so I could have had leftovers. Yum!
Saturday and Sunday was T-time! We watched a couple of movies (Mars Needs Moms, The Incredibles), played (Legos, Super Heroes), went to church, and survived the time change (goodness knows that Nana needed an extra hour’s sleep Saturday night! ). Yes, T-time is exhausting, but I LOVE it!
Today I’m thankful for retirement. I’m thankful that I don’t have to set the alarm clock, that I’m not spending my days in a basement cubicle, that I can control the thermostat , that I’m able to set my own schedule, that I’m available whenever DD needs some help with the Ts or offers some T-time, that we can spend more time at the beach, and that I have time to do quilt or read. I being retired.
