Can you believe that a week from today, we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving. Hard to believe that we’re just a week from Thanksgiving. That means that it’s shopping day today at Chez Nana. DD and I worked on the grocery list last night, so we’re ready to go.
Speaking of last night, we celebrated DH’s birthday at DD’s. They treated us to a fantastic meal … and of course, the best part of the evening was spending time with our favorite people. T#1 and T#2 have put together their Christmas wish lists … and they’ve got more items from Samaritan’s Purse on their list than they do toys. Seeing that just made my heart swell.
I guess we’ll stop at the store on our way back from St. Louis … finally we’ll be able to celebrate DH’s birthday. We’ll have lunch at his favorite Italian restaurant on The Hill.
That’s the only plans we have for today, so I’m hoping that I’ll get to sit down to do some quilting this afternoon … and watch Tuesday night’s NCIS episode. I had to bake a cake yesterday afternoon, and I didn’t want to try to do that and watch NCIS at the same time.
Today I’m thankful for:
- The compassionate hearts of my littles
- The mama and daddy who are raising them to love and care about others
- A meal out with my hubby
- A quiet evening at home with my hubby
